The deeper, slower consequence is for the workforce. If humanoid robots do find their first viable commercial footing, the likelier setting is not the home but the workplace: logistics operations, elder care facilities, environments where the tasks are repetitive enough to manage and the economic case for automation is already well understood. That shift, when it comes, will land unevenly across labor markets in ways that policy is not yet equipped to address.

For consumers, the honest forecast is patience.
